DTF Film Sheets

DTF film sheets are a substrate specially designed for white ink heat transfer printing, which uses the principle of thermal transfer to transfer patterns to fabrics or other materials. DTF film sheets usually contain six layers: base layer, release layer, adhesive layer, printing layer, protective layer and antistatic layer.

Product Features
Soft texture: The pattern after hot transfer has a texture like PU glue, strong stretching resilience and no deformation, softer than traditional glue, and 30~50% softer than the pattern printed by oily coating film.
Strong ink absorption: It is suitable for most inks on the market, and 100% of the ink can be printed at will, without ink gathering or flowing, ensuring the clarity and color saturation of the printed pattern.
Dry surface: The surface of the film is dry, and 200 mesh ultra-fine powder can be sprinkled without sticking to the powder, which is convenient for subsequent hot tearing, warm tearing or cold tearing operations.

Instructions for use
Preparation stage: Make sure that the ink-absorbing coating surface is the printing surface, and handle it with care to avoid scratching the ink-absorbing coating.
Printing stage: Print the designed pattern on the DTF film sheets through a DTF printer. According to the performance of the hot melt powder and the actual performance of the machine, adjust the appropriate temperature for baking, and the general baking time is 90-120 seconds.
Shaking powder stage: Select hot melt powder with suitable mesh for shaking powder operation. Generally, 60-80 mesh hot melt powder can be torn in seconds, 100-150 mesh hot melt powder is recommended to be torn warm or cold, and hot melt powder above 150 mesh is recommended to be torn cold.
Transfer stage: Align the printed DTF film sheets with clothing or other substrates, adjust the thermal transfer machine to the appropriate temperature (generally 135-160 degrees), and perform the pressing operation, which generally takes 6-10 seconds. According to the temperature zone of hot melt powder with different meshes and fabrics, adjust the most suitable temperature zone appropriately.
Cooling and tearing film: After the pressing is completed, cool it slightly, and then gently tear off the DTF film sheets to get a perfect transfer pattern.

Precautions
Avoid high temperature and long-term baking: If the baking temperature is too high or the baking time is too long after the hot melt powder is sprinkled after printing, white spots may appear on the surface of the pattern. This is because after the hot melt powder forms a film, the slow-drying agent in the ink cannot evaporate, and the gas cools down to form mist crystals on the surface of the pattern. This anti-whitening phenomenon will gradually disappear after a few days of storage and contact with air, but it will affect the aesthetics of the pattern.
Storage environment: DTF film sheets should be stored in a dry place, pay attention to moisture-proof, and avoid affecting the ink absorption performance and printing effect.
Operation details: During the transfer process, ensure that the pressure is moderate. Too much or too little may affect the transfer effect. Be gentle when tearing the film to ensure that the pattern is intact.
