Description
Direct to Film (DTF) is an advanced thermal transfer technology, is a method of printing ink directly onto a film and then transferring the pattern to the substrate through thermal transfer technology. It combines the flexibility of digital printing with the efficiency of thermal transfer, providing a new solution for personalized customization.

DTF technology is widely used on a variety of fabrics, including but not limited to:
Pure cotton fabric: It has good moisture absorption and breathability, and is a common fabric for T-shirts, shirts and other clothing.
Polyester fabric: It has the characteristics of wear resistance and wrinkle resistance, and is often used in sportswear, outdoor clothing, etc.
Nylon fabric: It has the characteristics of high strength, wear resistance, good elasticity, etc., and is suitable for swimsuits, sportswear, etc.

Use process
The use process of DTF technology usually includes the following steps:
Design pattern: Use design software to outline the pattern to be printed.
Printing on film: Print the designed pattern directly onto a special film through a DTF printer.
Drying: Make sure the pattern printed on the film is completely dry for the next step.
Preheating and starting: Adjust the temperature of the heat transfer machine to an appropriate range (usually 150~160°C) to prepare for hot stamping.
Fabric preparation and film alignment: Lay the fabric to be printed flat to ensure that there are no wrinkles, and then place the DTF film accurately with the pattern facing down.
Hot pressing and shaping: Send the fabric and film together into the heat transfer machine for hot pressing and shaping, so that the pattern and fabric are perfectly combined. The hot pressing time is usually 20~30 seconds.
Cooling and curing: After the hot pressing is completed, let the pattern cool naturally or cool it quickly so that the pattern is more solid.
Tear off the film: After cooling, gently tear off the film and you can see that the pattern has been perfectly transferred to the fabric.
