Film DTF

Film DTF, or DTF film, has different meanings and applications in different fields. In the field of digital printing, DTF film specifically refers to the transfer film used for DTF (Direct-to-Film) technology.

HaiYi Film DTF is usually made of film materials such as PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and is specially coated to enable it to carry and transfer high-resolution patterns and text. DTF technology is a technology that directly prints a pattern on a transfer film and then transfers the pattern to the target object by thermal transfer.

How to use Film DTF
Design pattern: Use professional design software to design the pattern to be transferred.
Print pattern: Print the designed pattern on Film DTF through a DTF printer. During the printing process, special ink matching the DTF printer is required.
Powdering and baking: Sprinkle hot melt powder (also called shaking powder) evenly on the printed pattern, and then put the Film DTF into the baking equipment for high-temperature baking, so that the hot melt powder and the pattern are closely combined.
Thermal transfer: Put the processed Film DTF together with the target object (such as T-shirts, sweatshirts and other textiles), and put it into the thermal transfer machine for heat pressing transfer. After the heat pressing is completed, the pattern can be firmly attached to the target object.

Environmentally friendly and efficient: Film DTF technology does not require tedious steps such as plate making, engraving or waste discharge, so it is more environmentally friendly and efficient.

The common specifications of Film DTF include different widths and lengths to meet the printing needs of different sizes and shapes. Common specifications include 30cm×100m, 60cm×100m, etc., which can also be customized according to the specific needs of customers.

Fabrics for Film HaiYi DTF application
Film DTF is widely used on various clothing and textile fabrics, including pure cotton, polyester, nylon, blended fabrics and treated leather. These fabrics have good ink absorption and thermal transfer properties, which can ensure the integrity and clarity of the pattern.

Ink suitable for Film DTF
Film DTF requires the use of special inks that match the DTF printer. These inks usually have excellent color expression and printing stability, which can ensure the bright colors and rich details of the pattern. Common DTF inks include water-based pigment inks and oil-based UV inks. Among them, water-based pigment ink is suitable for most DTF printers and Film DTF types, while oil-based UV ink has higher color saturation and weather resistance, but needs to be printed with a DTF printer with UV curing function.
